Character continuity
Recognizable hair, clothing, palette, Ducky, and emotional relationship across changing settings.

Complete-book case study
A gentle picture book about Cheyenne, her yellow friend Ducky, and the steady comfort represented by Thumb.
The cover, typography, page backgrounds, character details, emotional pacing, and final presentation work together as one complete book.
The design goal
The manuscript moves through familiar places—the bedroom, park, beach, living room, and store—before Ducky is lost and found. The design uses purposeful repetition, warmth, and clean visual pacing.
Text pages use a restrained storybook frame while illustrated pages carry the emotional action. The recurring pink sundress, teal trim, orange Crocs, yellow Ducky, and warm cream palette keep the reader oriented.

The revision story
The strongest revision process protects approved decisions. Here, the title treatment, composition, setting, character pose, Ducky, and decorative palette remained recognizable while wardrobe and finishing details changed.
