Two verified milestones

The first stage follows the qualifying start payment and confirmed work start. The second follows cleared final payment and completed delivery of the standard $200 book.

The referred author’s $100 deposit must be cleared and non-pending, project fit and scope must be confirmed, work must have started, and 24 hours must have elapsed after the deposit cleared without an immediate failure or reversal.
Your first $15 becomes eligible when all four start conditions are complete.

Completed-order milestone
The referred author’s final $100 payment must be cleared and non-pending, MyBookIllustrator must complete delivery of the approved standard book project, and 24 hours must pass after the payment cleared without an immediate failure or reversal.
Your additional $35 becomes eligible when the paid delivery milestone is complete.
Refunds and payment reversals reduce eligibility. No commission is owed on an unpaid, fully refunded, reversed, or charged-back stage. A partial refund reduces that stage’s commission in the same proportion as the refunded part of its $100 payment. If a commission was already paid, the correction is offset only against future referral commissions; the partner is not asked for a separate repayment.
A permanent ID and your own page
Share your page. The author form handles the code.
Your affiliate ID is your referral code. Email verification automatically creates one permanent MBI-… identifier; it is the same exact identifier used for attribution, and there is no second partner code. Your default associate page works immediately. You may later choose an optional public address such as https://mybookillustrator.com/referral/p/maya-books. If you rename that vanity address, the five most recent prior vanity links continue to the current page while the account remains active; your permanent affiliate-ID fallback never changes.
An author who submits the project form on your associate page does not need to copy or type a code. The portal securely attaches your affiliate ID to the submission and records the author’s submission as confirmation. You may still share the permanent code or other approved links wherever relevant and permitted; no tracking cookie, audience list, or personal introduction is required.
- Verify and receive your page.Signup asks only for your name, email, U.S./adult confirmation, acceptance of the concise terms, and fair-promotion promises. Confirming the 48-hour email link activates your permanent ID and default page automatically; it verifies email control, not identity or endorsement.
- Share honestly.Use the default page, your optional vanity address, or your permanent code only where authors would reasonably find it useful and the community permits referral promotion. Keep the commission disclosure close to the recommendation.
- The author confirms.A submission through your associate page is automatically attributed to your permanent ID. An eligible author may also confirm one valid active code through the regular form field, email, text, written chat, a documented phone call, or an author-confirmed partner introduction before final payment clears and before another code is confirmed.
- Eligibility and payout stay reviewed.The first valid author-confirmed code locks to the project. MyBookIllustrator manually verifies the 180-day new-lead test, payment and work milestones, refunds or reversals, and every payout before money is released.

Email verification activates the account
There is no fee, quota, site, plan, contact list, or payout detail required at signup. A U.S. adult supplies a name and email, accepts the terms and fair-promotion rules, and completes the two-step email confirmation. That automatically activates one permanent affiliate ID and a default associate page; owner approval is not required for activation.
Your page is ready immediately
The permanent affiliate-ID page is always the reliable fallback. Customization is optional: choose an approved background palette and hero art, layout, fixed focus and button label, 3 to 8 items from the 12-study approved portfolio/concept library, approved section order/visibility, optional working-title/service-choice fields, public display copy, and an available vanity address. The required form always keeps the complete offer and attribution controls. Active verified partners may also add one securely processed profile image and header image after confirming usage rights. The sales journey stays on that page. After a rename, the five most recent prior vanity links keep working while the account remains active; older vanity aliases expire as newer ones are added.
The offer stays controlled
Partner text is displayed as partner-supplied content. Partners are responsible for it being truthful, permitted, and non-infringing. The portal accepts plain text only—no arbitrary HTML, scripts, outside links, email addresses, prices, deposit/refund language, Amazon or KDP claims, guarantees, or edits to MyBookIllustrator’s offer and disclosures.
Starting with the U.S.
We are testing the pilot with U.S.-based partners and referred authors first, and plan to open additional countries as payout and compliance support becomes ready. During this first phase, the standard $200 custom book package is the qualifying offer.
A new lead and one confirmed code are required
The author must have had no project inquiry, active sales conversation, quote, or paid MyBookIllustrator project during the prior 180 days when the partner’s promotion first reached them. The author may confirm one valid active code in any clear, documented way—even after work starts—provided final payment has not cleared and no other partner code is already confirmed. The first author-confirmed code locks to the project; a clerical correction may be documented, but a later partner claim cannot replace it.
Keep it fair
Place a clear, conspicuous commission disclosure close to every referral link or endorsement: “I may earn up to a $50 referral commission if you purchase MyBookIllustrator’s $200 package using my code.” Share only where relevant and permitted. No unsolicited bulk messages, fake reviews or testimonials, deceptive endorsements, repeated link dropping, prohibited community promotion, impersonation, typo or deceptive domains, brand-keyword ads, or other paid ads using the brand, offer, code, or links without MyBookIllustrator’s prior written approval. No self-referrals or manipulation
A partner cannot earn on their own order or an order from the same household, create duplicate identities, alter a customer’s information, interfere with another code, or use fraudulent traffic, payments, or inquiries.
Your private dashboard shows status
Passwordless email sign-in opens a private dashboard with the permanent ID, share links, page settings, and limited referral events. Referral records may be labeled received, deposit pending, deposit eligible, final pending, completed, paid, or disqualified/reversed. A partner may request their referral ledger or ask MyBookIllustrator to correct a record. Customer privacy limits what the dashboard or ledger can reveal.
Choose a fast, traceable payout
There is no minimum payout threshold. A $15 or $35 stage becomes eligible after its customer payment is cleared and non-pending, the stage’s work or delivery milestone is complete, and the 24-hour immediate-failure/reversal wait has elapsed. After manual approval, MyBookIllustrator sends the partner’s chosen electronic payout within two business days by PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App. If a processor shows pending or under review, eligibility waits and we explain the status in writing.
A partner may choose a mailed business check instead. After eligibility, we privately request the legal payee name and U.S. mailing address, mail it by USPS, and send the mailing date and check number. If it has not arrived after 10 business days, the partner may report it so we can verify the address, stop the original check, and reissue it. Each payout notice also lists the per-project referral record ID, amount, date, method, and transaction or check reference. The referral record ID is separate from the partner’s affiliate ID/referral code.
This is a protected pilot
MyBookIllustrator may pause a page, suspend or close an account, disable vanity-link continuity, disqualify an affected referral, or change the program prospectively for abuse, deception, security, legal, or rules concerns. A change does not erase an earned, undisputed commission, but pending or unqualified stages remain subject to manual review and the actual payment facts.

There is no fee, quota, website, audience list, referral plan, or payout detail to provide. The verification link first shows a confirmation screen; the account activates only when you choose Continue, protecting against automated email scanners.
No passwords or payout detailsThe portal uses a single-use 15-minute email sign-in link instead of a password. Payout details are requested privately only after a commission is eligible, and every payout remains manually reviewed and released.

Author submissions are privately recorded with the permanent affiliate ID, added as a limited dashboard event, sent to MyBookIllustrator for fit and scope review, and acknowledged to the author.
